About desired candidate:
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on accounts clerk to start immediately. This role will suit a proactive individual, who takes pride in their work and strives to achieve great results. The relevant training will be provided at the start. However, due to business needs, the role can only be offered to those with experience in the finance department, supported by aptitude in relevant software and qualifications.
About the role:
The role is an all-round Account Clerk position, with exposure to all functions of the department, working closely with the Financial Controller.
Role/ Responsibilities:
· Monitoring accounts email and dealing with incoming correspondence
· Accurate recording and processing of supplier invoices promptly
· Reconciling supplier statements
· Inputting sales invoices onto Sage and carrying sales reconciliations
· Dealing with queries professionally and effectively
· Monitoring authorisation of purchase invoices and business expenses
· Setting up new suppliers' and customers’ accounts ensuring completeness of data
· Reviewing aged creditors and debtors’ reports
· Credit Control
· Bank Reconciliations
· General administration within the finance department
· Assisting the Financial Controller with any ad hoc projects
Skills & Experience:
We are looking for individuals with the following skills and experience:
· Self-motivated with a proactive attitude
· Experience of using Sage 50
· Accuracy/attention to detail
· Excellent organisational skills
· Proficient use of Excel
· Good communication skills
· Can work as part of a team as well as independently
· At least 1 year's experience in an accounts office
